Details

Every mom needs a break now and then; a chance to be by herself, or to perhaps connect with others dealing with the same issues, to share stories, quiet thoughts, laughter, or perhaps some tears. You are invited to come and share some time with other adoptive moms; come and have a weekend for YOU!
Details:
Date: Friday, May 27 – Sunday, May 29, 2011
Location: Silver Star Mountain Resort, Vernon, BC
Cost: From $100-$120 (see form)
Agenda: None
What’s included: Accommodation & meals (2 dinners, 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches & snacks)

Interested? Space will be granted on a first-come, first-serve basis. At this time, we have space for 12 people in our first chalet. If we have more than 12 people who want to come, those additional names will be put on a waiting list. If we have enough to rent a second (or third, or fourth) chalet, we will do so!

You can hold your space by sending me a $50 non-refundable deposit by March 1, 2011 (if you can’t come, we will try to fill your space. If we can do so, we will return your $50.) The balance will be due May 1, 2011. (Full payment at time of reservation would be excellent, if at all possible, as I've already paid for the chalet.)

Meals will be communal affairs, with small groups of people preparing each meal. Please indicate any food allergies/preferences on the reservation form.

Please send me an email at tmkisil at gmail dot com, and I will send you the form along with my address.

Chalet

Click on the link to see the beautiful chalet that we've rented. Of course, there won't be any snow next May - we hope! :-)
If you think you want to come, but aren't quite ready to put down a deposit, do let me know. I'll put you on the "yes" list and then check back with you in February or so.
It's all coming together - I'm very excited!

Moms Away 2011

Moms Away 2011 has been set! Shelley and I met for the first time tonight to pick a date (May 27-29, 2011) and a place (Silver Star). I've created the logo based on an idea I found on Google Images. I love the phrase "Moms Away." I put three hearts in the middle, all connected, to indicate the three parties intricately involved in the adoption process. The colours of the hearts are also important - each one carries a piece of another.
